Since our sites are currently being run on a shoestring budget, please understand that we cannot offer you any financial compensation for your contributions. We do, however, promise that if we use your material, we will give you a credit on our Internet site.

We encourage steps that would help you protect your rights as an author or creator, such as registering your work with the U.S. Copyright Office (http://lcweb.loc.gov/copyright/), the Writers Guild of America or equivalent organizations in your country. You may wish to also consider the advice of a Franchised Literary Agent or Attorney before sending any material. If you have not already done so, we strongly recommend that you further research copyrights at the U.S. Copyright Office site and other copyright-related websites. It is essential to be informed before sending creative material over the web!

Our Needs

We are looking for Animators, Programmers, Artists, Writers, Educators and Publicists.

• Animators/Programmers/Artists: We know from firsthand experience that even people with little formal background in Art or Computer Animation can create winning and attractive content using Flash software. We have a number of game designs and other concepts that could be worked on by independent artists, animators or programmers. (For example, we would love for someone to do a little slide show that counts roman numerals from I to X and shows Doug wearing a toga in front of roman architecture.) If you would enjoy the challenge of creating positive educational materials for kids, if you can match our artistic style and are comfortable taking direction via correspondence, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  
  
• Writers/Editors: We are looking for writers who are parents too -- parents who can somehow regularly find a little time during their horrendously busy days to create amusing content for other beleagured parents. If you enjoy our writing style and if you would enjoy making parental math and science notes funny as hell, we could really use your talents.
  
  
• Educators: We are looking for educators who can create classroom-ready materials related to our games and activities. Aside from your knowledge of childrens' developmental stages and knowledge of educational standards, we also need your humor to create lesson plans that are highly entertaining for the instructors.
  
  
• Publicists: You would quickly become invaluable by informing magazines, papers, web journals and other media about our websites.

Submitting a proposal and/or sample material

Still sound like fun? Then please begin by carefully reading the acceptance terms for when you contact us via E-mail. If you agree to those terms, than please send any of the following:

• Some information on why you would like to contribute
• A brief outline or general description of the type of material you'd like to contribute
• A brief sample of material you have created in the past, different enough from the materials on our websites that we can review it without concerns about infringement of copyright
• Some information on your background
• Anything else you think we should know!

We ask that you do not immediately send us specific content that you would like to see published. Based on your proposal or other general information that you send, we will contact you if our resources allow. We hope that we will be able to respond positively and establish a mutually rewarding, professional relationship.
